What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and analyze a complex book of Commercial Surety Accounts, ensuring high-level service to customers
- Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities while negotiating terms and closing deals
- Cross-sell other lines of business to enhance product density with accounts
- Update systems with details of broker/client visits and account status in a timely manner
- Administer and monitor underwriting rules, guidelines, and insurance laws and regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3+ years of experience in Underwriting, Market Facing, Finance, Accounting, or Banking, or 6+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support
- Knowledge of business lines and legal/regulatory guidelines
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Understanding of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
- Ability to work in a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree
- Surety knowledge/experience and understanding of broker relationships
- Investigative skills to analyze complex credit assessments and business strategies
- Prior experience managing a profitable portfolio of customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
