      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Consistently empower, engage, and involve members in all aspects of clubhouse operations as colleagues including but
      not limited to, maintaining supply inventory, tracking member attendance, answering incoming calls, assisting visitors and incoming callers, providing tours, assisting in new membership enrollment, ongoing member outreach and engagement,
      collecting program data, designing flyers, preparing sign-up sheets, newsletter creation and distribution, etc.
      • Assist members in developing and utilizing Units to carry out the Work Ordered Day, ensuring Unit Meetings occur on a
      regular basis. Units should be created based on Clubhouse Community needs and member participation, each unit should offer a variety of meaningful volunteer opportunities, develop, and maintain tracking systems, plan and execute projects, activities and special events,
      • Ensure program safety through unit work such as regular drills, trainings, addressing hazards and completing work orders as needed
      • Assist members in developing and maintaining an up-to-date community support resource library through identifying
      affordable housing leads, health care and medical insurance options, local mental health and primary care providers,
      food resources and any other resources based on member needs/goals.
      • Support members in reaching out and scheduling presentations at the Clubhouse by partner agencies and local resources.
      • Educate members on relevant social services and government funded assistance programs.
      • Assist members in developing and reaching personal goals including returning to school, accessing financial aid,
      completing GED or other vocational training and provide support by developing positive working relationships.
      • Provide feedback to members with positive reinforcement and assisting with conflict resolution as needed.
      • Provide outreach and advocacy within the Clubhouse and community to assist in developing the Clubhouse Board of
      Directors.
      Assist in Transitional Employment (TE) job placement efforts by assessing member interests, educating, and exposing
      members to a variety of work opportunities through TE placements regardless of previous work experience or level of
      functioning, providing training and coverage at placement as needed and ongoing support,
      • Maintain open and positive relationships with other service providers, community agencies, and local businesses to
      create opportunities for transitional employment,
      • Assist members in identifying and networking with potential partners for employment opportunities.
      • Track TE placements and maintain communication with TE employers including responding to employer feedback.
      • Lead meetings as outlined in the Statement of Work e.g., WRAP, WHAM, Recovery Planning, Employment Support,
      etc.
      • Complete training of International Clubhouse Standards (ICCD) and Support Employment (IPS), Whole Health Action
      Management (WHAM), and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
      • May be required to attend initial and on-going training for County of San Diego, Department of Behavioral Health Services
      SSI Advocacy and Training Contracts program and possibly process SSA applications through Legal Aid.
      • Comply with all MHS and program rules, policies and procedures including HIPAA standards.

      QUALIFICATIONS
      • Prefer at least 3 years related experience working with SMI adults in a related setting or bachelor’s degree in related
      field
      • Fosters excellent rapport with members and knowledgeable about local resources
      • Adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and solve problems in a timely manner
      • Able to communicate clearly, both in writing and orally, with employees, management, and co-workers.
      • Ability to create reports and spreadsheets. Highly organized, thorough, and able to self-monitor work for quality
      • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond in a timely manner and enjoy working in a fast-paced team based environment.
      • Must be able to engage culturally diverse populations and understand cultural competency relevant to
      community/communities served and possess the skills necessary to successfully work directly with participants to carry
      out the work ordered day and interact positively with people of diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
      • Strong networking skills and ability to create strong partnerships.
      • Data tracking skills and ability to use Microsoft Office including excel and publisher
      • Ability to work on the weekends or evenings as needed to provide social and recreational activities for members on site
      and off site.

      PAY RATE: $15/HR
