What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the Paralegal in managing case files, including tracking deadlines, court dates, and documents
- Organize and maintain electronic files following firm protocols
- Review and proofread documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal procedures
- Assist in drafting and preparing legal documents such as petitions, motions, affidavits, and agreements
- Respond to client inquiries professionally and promptly, providing necessary forms and instructions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a legal setting (family law preferred)
- 1-2 years of experience in a legal assistant or administrative role
- Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures, particularly in family law
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
