Amazon Fulfillment Services is expanding its network of Vendor Flex nodes and is seeking an individual to help manage field operations as well as support regional and network-wide initiatives. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join our team as an Area Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of hourly employees at up to four Vendor Flex nodes and will be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will split your time across all nodes with the expectation to visit each node at least two times per week. You will also play a key part in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.

The position will be based out of the VUPC Site (Ontario, California).
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities and Job Elements:
• Support, mentor, and motivate your team of hourly associates
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises at a single Vendor Flex node
• Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
• Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, Business leaders, Retail teams and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Support regional and network-wide initiatives as a single-threaded leader or champion
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather
• Work in path as needed to support Operations
• Conduct daily onsite visits
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Travel up to 80% of the time and maintain reliable transportation- 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts- Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field is a plus
- 1+ years management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
- Management of a minimum of 15 employees (including payroll, performance management, work-flow assignment
- Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $63,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $82,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
