Job Description

Acting as the primary point of contact for external bodies such as class societies and insurance handlers.
Overseeing the briefing visits, ensuring all necessary information is communicated effectively.
Managing the selection and screening process through brief ship staff visits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Naval architecture or similar Master degree, preferably with seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or Master from either Cruise or RoRo experience
Good command of oral and written English
Basic computer knowledge
Environmental focused
Excellent communication skills
Good interpersonal skills in order to develop close relationships with shipboard staff, vessel owners, charterers as well as internal and external support functions

Wilhelmsen Ship Management is looking for a Vessel Manager
The Vessel Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally conscious operation of the vessels assigned for either Cruise or RoRo segment. This includes incorporating compliance with statutory and industry-recommended rules and regulations. Collaborating with various internal and external departments to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise including owner representatives, class societies, and insurance handlers, to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
