      We’re seeking a future team member for the role of vice president, IWM Portfolio Manager to join the Investment Oversight and Client Solutions team. This role is located in Tokyo, Japan.

      In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

      • Monitor transactions, positions and evaluate performance of investment portfolios, ensuring adherence to investment guidelines, investment restrictions and regulatory requirements
      • Cash management and FX trading, as well as investment fund transactions
      • Extensive communications with overseas (mostly London and New York) investment firms for portfolio and other investment management related inquiries
      • Identify investment opportunities for the firm's funds and discretionary investment management mandates, as well as make recommendations for portfolio allocations and adjustments
      • Formulate various investment reports and commentaries and conduct periodic investment reviews with clients.
      • Conduct due diligence and other regulatory required monitoring on sub investment managers as required

      To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

      • University degree in Economics, Finance, Investment or a related discipline, professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA are preferred
      • A minimum of 10 years of investment management experience in the asset management industry or relevant financial institutions. Fixed Income products background would be a plus
      • Native-level Japanese (writing and speaking etc.), as well as minimum business-level English is preferred.
      • In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in financial investment, financial analysis and mutual funds
      • Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct thorough research and due diligence on investment opportunities and sub investment managers
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey investment concepts and strategies
      • High level of discipline and integrity with positive attitude and ability to work independently and under pressure
