      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Assist the physician with documentation of the patient's medical record, including detailed patient history
      - Transcribe the impression and plan, results of tests, prescriptions, and orders under the physician's direction
      - Document procedures performed by the physician or ophthalmic medical personnel
      - Communicate with patients regarding appointment scheduling and follow-up care
      - Maintain accurate electronic health records and assist with EMR documentation of all patient communications

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of an Associate's Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred
      - 2-3 years of relevant Retina Scribe experience required
      - 1 year of experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician preferred
      - Knowledge of ophthalmic anatomy, disease, symptoms, surgical procedures, and ocular medications
      - Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with advanced ophthalmic testing, including OCT, visual field testing, and fundus photography
      - Familiarity with ophthalmic pharmacology and terminology
      - Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
      - Ability to assist providers with 4-6 patient encounters per hour
      - Certification as a COA or COT
