What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the educational and behavioral goals of students, particularly those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct diagnostic and functional behavior assessments to inform instructional strategies
- Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals and objectives for individual students
- Utilize research-based practices and culturally responsive teaching methods in lesson planning
- Communicate regularly with families about their child’s academic and social-emotional progress
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
- Experience in inclusion models or co-teaching in a Resource Room
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a multicultural setting
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
