      Visiting Assistant Professor of Oboe
      Greenwood School of Music, Oklahoma State University
      Stillwater, Oklahoma

      Responsibilities: The Greenwood School of Music seeks a qualified oboist to build and sustain a successful oboe studio and play an active role in the recruitment and retention of oboe majors, as well as collaborate with colleagues in the advancement of the woodwind area. The candidate will be expected to teach applied lessons in oboe including a weekly studio class. The teaching assignment will also include the oboe portion of the double reed techniques course. The successful candidate will rehearse weekly and perform as oboist with Bluestem Blaze, the faculty woodwind quintet. Additional teaching assignments may be in general education or in an area of the candidate’s expertise.

      Qualifications: Master’s degree and applied teaching experience at the university level required. Doctorate or equivalent professional experience preferred. Experience in chamber and orchestral performance desired.

      Rank and Salary: Visiting Assistant Professor. Salary with benefits commensurate with qualifications.

The Greenwood School of Music has thirty-six full-time and thirteen part-time faculty members and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. The School offers the degrees of Master of Music (with options in applied music or conducting); Bachelor of Music (with options in music education, performance, and jazz performance); Bachelor of Arts (including a composition option); and Bachelor of Science in Music Industry.
