Job Description

- To plan, execute, control, and manage daily operations of storing, picking, and replenishing.
- Ensure that warehouse floor space and height capacity is utilized to its maximum potential.
- Monitor and ensure all warehouse buildings premises maintenance is attended to timeously and safely.
- Ensure that the targeted OBD's for Freight, export and transport department are picked, checked, and invoiced each day by shift in accordance with priority listing.
- Ensure incoming vehicles are all off-loaded in accordance with planning schedule set up by receiving.
- Ensure that goods received in daily by receiving & GRA are captured into the stock mainstream and put away accurately and without delay to avoid out of stocks and optimize service levels.
- Ensure that the stock losses/gains are minimized to Depot's agreed objective.
- Ensure that danger list and export ageing stock reports are monitored and reacted on closely.
- Ensure that warehouse stock damages are managed to agreed standards and disposed of and accounted for as per procedures .
- Ensue premises are secured and safe at the end of the shift.
- Ensure that all internal systems and procedures are in place and adhere to
- Prepare annual fixed cost budget for departments to manage this budget to ensure targets are achieved. Authorise expenditure through SAP purchasing system perform revisions on budget as and when required.
- Report on variance and maintain stats. Prepare CAPEX budget for the financial year for warehouse equipment. Prepare long term planning budget.
- Capture complete accurate data as per data standard on time to the relevant systems. Adhere to the best practices for data management and business excellence.
- Manage the control of bad goods within the warehouse also manage the recording and remocal of all bad goods
- Ensure company policy with regard write off strictly to responsible for monthly stats and reporting ex warehouse.
- Actively encourage and ensure Nestle housekeeping standards direct the daily cleaning of the warehouse by external cleaning company.
- Ensure planned and effective infestations controls are in place and performed by external pest control service provider.
- Provide effective motivation and leadership. Apply Nestle management and leadership principles. Communicate all relevant business information to staff. Perform continuous knowledge transfer of stock handling and other disciplines.
- Apply and ensure that application of HR policies and procedures time and attendance, and overtime or uthorization and utilization KRONOS/ESS
- Participate in the recruitment for the department implement and manage performance plans for direct reports. Set KPIs and manage these for the department performance appraisal and when required. Arrange training and development identified.
- Ensure effective operation of stock operation system (FIFO) except to both depot transfers and exports (LIFO)
- Degree/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- 2-3 years working experience in physical logistics and warehouse management.
