Your Role As a Warehouse Manager, you will be a hands-on leader responsible for all warehouse activities for the early morning shift at our West Coast Service Center (WCSC) located in Whittier, CA. You will have 3-4 direct reports with an additional 30-40 hourly associates in various roles and will report to the Director of the WCSC. The AM shift is Monday through Friday 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM with a few hours on the Weekends (weekends will be rotating). What You’ll Do - Supporting all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and managers. - Leading and developing a team of Supervisors and hourly associates. - Acting as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed - Mentoring, training, and developing Supervisors and associates. - Creating, communicating, and maintaining quality control policies and SOPs to Supervisors and associates - Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives - Building and delivering productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Operations Managers to balance labor. - Evaluating performance objectives and metrics to determine department productivity requirements to achieve LOS, accuracy, and quality expectations. - Partnering with other managers to share best practices across shifts and the network - Responsible for all aspects of employee supervision, not limited to—interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation. - Responsible for coaching and development of supervisors. - Responsible for operational metrics and KPI’s. What You Bring - 4 or more years related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience required.
