What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare benefit notices and process benefit and medical payments on claim files as directed by the Claims Examiner
- Document all work product and claim activity in the electronic claim file
- Communicate pertinent claim information to clients, legal counsel, and medical providers
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and respond appropriately
- Perform clerical support tasks, including filing, faxing, and sorting
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience in the workers' compensation claims industry
- Proficient keyboarding skills with the ability to type 45 words per minute
- Working knowledge of medical/legal terminology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CA SIP License
