What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Investigate, evaluate, and adjust workers' compensation claims in compliance with California laws and client requirements
- Establish and maintain appropriate reserves within assigned authority levels
- Review and authorize payments for medical, legal, and indemnity expenses
- Negotiate settlements in line with client expectations and state regulations
- Maintain accurate claim documentation and manage diaries within the claim system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 10 years of workers' compensation claim adjusting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities effectively
- Experience with California jurisdiction required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- California SIP certification
- Experience in claim review presentations
- AIC, ARM, or CPCU designation
