What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage workers' compensation claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring accurate processing
- Provide support and guidance to injured employees regarding medical treatment and care
- Collaborate with medical providers and HR to ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws
- Maintain detailed records of claims and conduct regular audits for improvement
- Work closely with adjusters and case managers to verify claims and provide solutions during claims reviews
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Human Resources, or related field, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
- In-depth knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong attention to detail and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Multi-state experience with federal, state, and local workers' compensation laws and safety regulations
- Professional certification in Workers' Compensation Claims Administration or similar
- Understanding of customer service techniques and ability to apply them to achieve service goals
