Medical Assistant - Float

Overview

The Medical Assistant maintains department patient care supplies, ensures timely flow of patients, and assists physicians and nurses to provide optimal care to patients and families. This position will involve reimbursed travel and is also open to candidates with Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Qualifications

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)

Education: H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine direct patient care duties to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients
• Maintain patient care environments and supplies to ensure patient privacy and safety
• Obtain and document patient vital signs during the rooming process
• Complete medication reconciliation
• Chaperone providers during patient examinations and procedures
• Perform point-of-care testing
• Process and prepare laboratory specimens
• Stock and organize exam rooms and clinical supplies

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $17.12per hour - $27.73per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
