Position: Operations Specialist - Jenks Trojan Aquatic Center

Reports to: Aquatic Center Director

Supervises: None

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or GED required.
  2. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  3. Demonstrative ability to use oral and written communication effectively.
  4. Highly organized with ability to prioritize duties and complete work assignments in a timely manner.
  5. Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office experience preferred.
  6. Ability to perform general accounting functions.
  7. Good interpersonal skills with adults and students.
  8. Satisfy all district requirements regarding physical health and citizenship.
  9. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goal: To work collaboratively with the Aquatic Center Director, Aquatic Center Coordinator, Swim Club Coordinator and Swim Club Assistant Coordinator to support the efficient operation of the facility and assist in the planning, coordination, and supervision of aquatic programs and services.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Serves as point of contact and responds to customer questions and requests for information.
  2. Assists with daily operations and handles issues that arise with classes, instructors, and customers.
  3. Maintains facility recordkeeping as needed including monitoring customer sign-in and sign-out sheets and updating the pool/facility calendar.
  4. Monitors the enrollment website including tracking membership/class enrollments and payments, handling transfers and refunds, and running financial reports.
  5. Coordinates and supervises programs as needed including swim lessons and Bridge to Competition.
  6. Prepares for programs and classes including submitting facility use forms.
  7. Collaborates to plan and implement new classes and programs to enhance community engagement and contribute to the center’s financial sustainability.
  8. Serves as a liaison for Swim Club and Aquatic Center programs to support vertical alignment.
  9. Assists with the preparation and operation of events including swim meets.
  10. Develops and maintains a social media presence for the center including coordinating creation of content, photos, videos, and posts and maintaining communication with customers and the community via Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
  11. Maintains compliance with JPS and USA Swimming policies.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Employment Terms: Twelve (12) month classified hourly contract
