The Practice Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Energy Department and its practice groups, working in close collaboration with the Practice Manager, Practice Director, Practice Group Leadership, and administrative departments. The Practice Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support across a broad range of functions, including attorney utilization, new attorney integration, local support staff coordination, internal client relationship development, business analytics, project management, problem solving, and workflow coordination.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Business Development, Legal Talent, Finance & Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, Innovation, and Client Care to support business strategies established by the department and practice groups.
• Assist the Practice Director with implementing department and practice group annual business plans, encompassing staffing levels, billable hours, and attorney development in alignment with firm standards.
• Support the successful planning and execution of department and practice group meetings and retreats, coordinating with relevant administrative departments to communicate key information and drive action items to completion.
• Collaborate with Regional Office Administrators, Practice Managers, Practice Directors, Practice Group Leaders, and Professional Development Partners on attorney onboarding and integration initiatives.
• Facilitate senior partner communications, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of direction and information.
• Monitor talent pipeline activity and progress, delivering reports and summaries as needed to inform and support business decisions.
• Create, document, and maintain business process documentation across all aspects of practice operations, including billing, practice management, matter staffing, rate and bill monitoring.
• Plan and coordinate Energy department events that foster teamwork, collaboration, and recognition of individual and group accomplishments.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of firm and attorney information.
• Provide support to the Practice Manager and Practice Director on special projects and ad hoc initiatives as requested.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Exercise tact and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
• Work effectively both independently and collaboratively, building strong partnerships across administrative departments and the Energy practice groups firmwide.
• Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining meticulous attention to detail even when under pressure.
• Possess exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt new software and technology solutions.
• Ability to take responsibility and approaches work with initiative, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Maintain high level of integrity and professionalism; with a demonstrated ability to build credibility and trust with practice management and stakeholders.
• Ability to balance competing priorities with composure, adapt effectively to shifting demands and evolving business needs.
• Strong commitment to client service, ethical conduct, and firm values.
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage and work independently in a remote, hybrid, and in-office settings.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a legal or other professional services environment strongly preferred.

Hiring Salary Range:

$60,000.00 - $95,000.00
