About the Position: This position is located at 87th Medical Group, MTF McGuire, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ

• This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
• Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

• Perform detailed reviews of purchase requests for specialized supplies, equipment, and commercial requirements.
• Review customer specifications to ensure that performance periods, contractor obligations, expected products, and other requirements are clear and adequate.
• Contact requesters to resolve discrepancies, ambiguities, and unusual problems.
• Determine appropriate procurement sources and methods for commercial, specialized, and urgent requirements.
• Solicit and obtain oral or written quotations using open market procedures.
• Receive and evaluate formal bids and quotations to determine price reasonableness, compliance with competition requirements, and the offer most advantageous to the Government.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
