Position Summary

The goal of the finance organization is to provide timely, accurate, and valuable financial insights to the business to help achieve the organization's strategic goals. The Financial Analyst joins a fast-paced, high-growth team that partners daily with all functional areas of the business.

The primary function of this position is to assist in the development, consolidation, tracking, and reporting of operating forecasts and budgets. Interaction with Sales, Marketing, and Operations is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business unit general managers in understanding the profitability of running their business, including proformas, profitability analysis, and variance analysis.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial reviews with the senior leadership team that incorporate sales trends, operational performance, and fixed expense analysis.
  • Assist in the design and development of a rolling quarterly forecast and budget related to business unit activities.
  • Assist in the monthly development of a demand planning forecast to aid in production scheduling.
  • Support tracking for various customer programs and marketing initiatives.
  • Work with Operations and other business partners on proformas, projects, and other required analytics.
  • Provide necessary backup to the Financial Planning & Analysis team.
  • Become proficient in financial systems and serve as a resident expert.
  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of capital projects aimed at improving financial performance.
  • Serve as a change agent in process design and implementation.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong financial acumen and data mining skills; SQL a plus.
  • Able to adapt to change in a fast-moving environment.
