This role focuses on accurately picking and packing boxes containing plastic piping, preparing shipments, and coordinating outbound logistics. You cut material to specified sizes, generate shipping labels, communicate with carriers via email, schedule trucks, and load outgoing shipments. You use ERP System LN 10.7 and related warehouse tools to ensure orders ship on time and in excellent condition, while safely handling materials weighing up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack boxes with plastic piping according to order specifications and quality standards.
• Cut material to the required sizes based on customer orders and shipping requirements.
• Prepare and print shipping labels, ensuring accuracy of addresses, carrier details, and tracking information.
• Load trucks safely and efficiently, securing materials to prevent damage during transit.
• Communicate with shipping companies via email to coordinate pickups, confirm schedules, and resolve shipping issues.
• Schedule trucks for outgoing shipments to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations.
• Use ERP System LN 10.7 and warehouse management tools to process orders, update shipment status, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform shipping and receiving activities, including verifying quantities and inspecting materials as needed.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, in a safe and compliant manner.
• Lift and move boxes and materials weighing up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
• Apply troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude to address minor equipment or process issues in the shipping area.
• Collaborate with a small, tight-knit team to maintain an organized, efficient, and clean shipping workspace.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience picking and packing orders in a shipping or warehouse environment.
• Hands-on shipping and receiving experience, including preparing shipments and coordinating with carriers.
• Ability to lift and safely handle materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Proficiency using ERP System LN 10.7 or similar enterprise resource planning software.
• Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Basic forklift operating skills and comfort working around warehouse equipment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office for email communication and basic documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude to address minor process or equipment issues.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when cutting material, packing orders, and preparing shipping labels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a fast-paced shipping environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in packing, shipping, and receiving in a distribution or manufacturing setting.
• Comfort using technology and software systems to manage orders, inventory, and shipments.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and truck schedules.
• Good written communication skills for email correspondence with shipping companies.
• Reliable work ethic and punctuality for consistent Monday–Friday operations.

Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse and shipping environment with a standard day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You work closely with a small team in a hands-on setting that involves regular lifting of up to 75 pounds, use of ERP System LN 10.7, warehouse management systems, and forklift equipment. The environment emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork while maintaining an organized and practical workspace suitable for material handling and shipping operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
