The Opportunity

  • Build for scale: Design and implement scalable, flexible features that power Zuora's next-generation onboarding platform.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with senior engineers and architects to deliver a high-impact product roadmap.
  • Deliver quality and performance: Develop robust APIs, background services, and data pipelines that are both efficient and developer-friendly.
  • Innovate continuously: Contribute to system designs and technical discussions that improve performance, reliability, and developer experience.
  • Solve complex onboarding challenges: Build intelligent agents to streamline and resolve complex customer onboarding workflows.

Location & Work Arrangements

This role is based in our Foster City, CA office and follows a hybrid work model. Team members are expected to work onsite three days per week to foster collaboration, innovation, and team connectivity.

This is not a fully remote position.

About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6 - 10 years of hands-on product development experience, ideally within SaaS or B2B software environments.
  • Hands-on experience or deep understanding of building AI agents and integrating complex business workflows into agentic architectures.
  • Strong skills in backend API development or full-stack engineering.
  • Solid understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Design.
  • Experience applying low-level design principles in real-world projects.
  • Familiarity with modern frameworks, IDEs, testing, and documentation best practices.

About the Team

At Zuora, the Milo team solves the Zuora onboarding problem by building agentic solutions to address complex implementation challenges—ranging from understanding user requirements to configurations, data migration, integration, testing, and more. We build and scale the systems that drive innovation across Zuora AI and Zuora Milo — empowering global enterprises to deliver seamless, accurate, and dynamic billing experiences to their customers.

As a key member of this team, you'll design and develop highly distributed, performant, and reliable systems that form the foundation of Zuora's onboarding capabilities. You'll build intelligent agentic capabilities and implementation partners that accelerate customer time-to-value and transform quote-to-cash workflows, working closely with architects, product managers, and engineers across multiple teams to tackle complex data and infrastructure challenges.

The base pay details represent the annualized salary range for the posted position. While we share a comprehensive range, a candidate’s final base salary will fall within these guidelines and will be determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to: qualifications of the candidate, job related knowledge, prior related experience, specific and unique skills, the location of the role, internal equity and internal budget.
