Staff Accountant II

Position Description;
• Develop proficiency across the full spectrum of A/R processes.
• Process daily A/R transactions, including invoicing, credit memos, adjustments, and payment applications.
• Monitor customer accounts and manage collections to ensure timely payments.
• Communicate with customers to resolve billing issues and maintain strong relationships.
• Work closely with sales and customer service teams.

• Support various month end tasks.
o Assist with preparation and posting of month end journal entries.
o Process month-end tasks in the ERP system.
o Reconcile reports and account balances to ensure accuracy.

• Assist with year-end audit activities.
o Support external auditors by providing requested information.
o Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

• Demonstrate strong collaboration and flexibility.
o Cross-train with colleagues to ensure team flexibility and department coverage.
o Partner with other departments to troubleshoot financial and operational issues.
o Foster a collaborative and cooperative team culture.
o Assist CFO/Controller as needed

Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting

Skills & Abilities
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, formulas); ERP/accounting software experience a plus
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High regard for respect in the workplace with good ethical and moral judgment
• Research and resolution, documentation skills, and attention to detail
