What we offer

$24.65/hr to $30.81/hr

Compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. Final pay may vary depending on factors such as prior experience, expertise, and specific requirements of the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and will discuss the final pay rate with candidates should an offer be made.

Who you are – Staff Accountant

You are a dynamic, detail oriented, intuitive person with the ability to develop relationships, build rapport and become a trusted team member. What you'll do

• Process accounts payable, monthly billings on commercial account transactions, credit disability and LS/LP monthly billings and, on a weekly basis, the FR2900 reporting to the Federal Reserve. Assists with the preparation of financial statements.
• Oversee the settlement and reconciliation of shared branching accounts, including any adjustments, and maintains branch reconciliations on a daily basis.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned and reports any unusual activity to the Controller. Make general ledger entries for the Credit Union’s payroll.
• Perform maintenance of the fixed asset system, including inventory; posts automatic computer generated vouchers; and prepares prepaid asset processing.
• Oversee the settlement of mortgage related accounts, including principal, escrow, and Fannie Mae.
• Reconcile ACH and corporate statement (Eascorp) daily.
• Work closely with staff at all levels to resolve account discrepancies and performs such additional duties as requested or assigned from time to time.
• Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Follows established company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Sarbanes Oxley controls, Business Ethics and Standard of Conduct, Electronic Communications, Confidentiality and Privacy.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

• 1-3 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
• A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours is generally required. In some cases, a High School degree with significant and relevant work experience can be an adequate substitute for the absence of an Associate’s Degree.
