Staff Accountant

C & B Operations is one of the largest John Deere dealerships in the United States with 38 locations across 6 states. We are searching for an experienced Staff Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, perform account reconciliations, and assist with budget preparation and audits. This role requires strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

Salary and Schedule This is a full time, salaried position. Rate is based on experience. Flexible work hours between 7:30 am - 6 pm Monday - Friday with additional hours during month end and year end close.

Responsibilities Include

1. Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.
2. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
3. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
4. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
5. Support month-end and year-end close processes.
6. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
7. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports.
8. Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
9. Maintain accurate and organized financial files and documentation.
10. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Primarily sedentary office work requiring prolonged computer use, occasional standing, bending, and reaching, and lifting up to 15 pounds. Requires manual dexterity, clear vision, and sustained concentration for detailed work.
