Working hours

Working hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm local time.

Occasional after hours and/or weekend work will be required based on ongoing initiatives and special requests.

The Opportunity

A public school district in the Northern Denver, CO metro area is seeking a System Administrator to join their IT team, supporting network, wireless, desktop, and server operations across the district.

This is a NexusTek W-2 position for a three-year term, with a clear, no-fee path to direct employment with the district at the end of the term if it's a strong mutual fit.

What You'll Own

• Network and wireless infrastructure support across district sites
• Desktop and mobile device support, including second-level escalation from the district's help desk
• Server administration and support
• Ticket triage and resolution, working directly with district staff and other IT team members

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting PCs, networks, and related systems
• Real, demonstrated experience across networking, desktop support, and server administration, not narrowly specialized in just one
• Comfortable working directly with end users and handling escalated support tickets
• Able to work onsite in the Denver metro area
• Able to pass a standard background check as a condition of W-2 employment with NexusTek

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred, not a hard requirement, real hands-on experience matters more here than the credential itself)
• Prior experience in a K-12 or public-sector IT environment

What This Role Is Not

• Not a narrow specialist role, this person covers network, desktop, and server support, not just one lane
• Not a 1099 or corp-to-corp engagement, this is genuine W-2 employment with NexusTek
• Not indefinite as a NexusTek employee by design, the three-year term has a real, no-fee path to becoming a direct district employee at the end, worth presenting as a genuine feature, not a limitation

Pay and Benefits:

This is a full-time position located in 100% on-site with one of our clients in Northern Denver, CO.

Estimated Starting Salary: $80,000, less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis (The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure [for existing employees] skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role. Note that the majority of individuals in the position will fall in the low to mid-level of this scale; the upper end of this pay scale is offered only in exceptional circumstances and/or for unusually qualified candidates.)
