Transportation Assistant

The Transportation Assistant position is located at the Veterans Transportation Service (VTS) within the Service located at the VA Medical Center/Health Care System (VAMC/HCS) with several Community Based Outpatient Clinics. The incumbent reports directly to the Supervisor, Mobility Manager at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.

This position is located in the Veteran Transportation Service at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), VA Medical Center Des Moines VA Health Care System, in Des Moines, IA. The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of functions, including being the primary contact to Veterans; workload forecasting; procedure development; scheduling design; quality improvement implementation; modification of processes; evaluation, and ongoing operational flow; data collection; tracking support; consultation of management responsibilities; and program support responsibilities.
