About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 704TH MI Brigade Office of the Commander Fort Meade, MD.

Duties

• Serves as Administrative Officer for the Civilian Personnel Program. Manages and directs the full range of civilian personnel functions.
• Reviews administrative and operational actions prepared to ascertain compatibility with DOD, Army and MACOM policy and consistency with parallel actions taken by the MACOM that are factually, technically and administratively accurate.
• Develops and manages the budget for the civilian personnel office and makes recommendations on the allocation of training funds for civilian training opportunities.
• Works with Brigade Force Integration/Modernization (FI/M) staff on multiple TDAs to include the realignment of positions in order to track, report and manage assigned strength.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• TDY will be required 15% of the time.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments, including to hostile fire zones during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
• Employee must be willing to undergo and be able to successfully complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam, if require.
