Budget Analyst

About the Position:

• This position is located at Fort Riley, Kansas
• This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
• Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
• Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Duties

• Perform routine Budget Analyst functions for one or more funds for Irwin Army Community Hospital.
• Verify General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) information, consolidate data, and prepare monthly execution charts for the hospital Commander and Deputies.
• Monitor and review the use of funds throughout the fiscal year using a computer with spreadsheet and database software applications programs.
• Review estimates submitted by departments for supplies, travel, overtime, and award budgets.
• Assist in formulating and preparing the annual Brigade, Command Budget Estimate (CBE).
• Provide routine financial analytical and advisory services for the hospital budget for one or more funds.
• Determine the propriety and cost effectiveness of funding requests.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position requires Financial Management Certification Level 2 within 2 years of employment.
