The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Senior Budget Analyst in the AMC/A2FP Resources Branch, who is fully responsible for the Air Mobility Command Directorate of Intelligence budget and management of resources for specific programs and appropriations.

Duties

1. Budget formulation work in support of major initiatives/programs involving preparation of detailed analyses and estimates of annual and/or multi-year funding.
2. Performs and oversees budget execution work involving monitoring obligations incurred and resulting expenditures of funds and the administration and review of requests for funds for distribution to program managers.
3. Oversees and provides financial advisory services on budget-related matters such as types of funding available, effects of budgetary changes on related activities, status, and use of funds, etc.
4. Provides expert technical advice on all aspects of budgeting to include review and analysis to ensure program compliance with financial guidance.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.

  • Employees and family members requiring medical/dental care in the overseas location are responsible for obtaining/paying for care. Access for these members to military medical/dental treatment facilities is on space-available/reimbursable basis only.
  • Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
  • Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and or holidays. Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position IAW DODI 1300.26, Operation of the DoD Financial Management Certification Program. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.
