Business Process Analyst

The Opportunity:

When an organization has multiple moving parts in its processes, it can be difficult to critically examine them. To be more efficient and effective, it needs a business process specialist to learn its mission end-to-end and provide ways to change for the better. That’s why we need you, a business process specialist who can analyze every aspect of your customer’s operations and give them the steps to improve their process.

As a business process specialist on our team, you’ll analyze your client’s current operating environment and identify areas for improvement. You’ll analyze discussions with leadership and program staff that will help refine your client’s definition of success and identify current frustrations. You’ll work on the design of data collection plans, facilitate workshops, and communicate your research and illustrative analysis to help establish understanding and agreement from key stakeholders.

On our team, you’ll use process improvement frameworks to provide your client with recommendations along with a firm grasp of the quantitative and/or qualitative results they can expect. This is your chance to gain experience supporting a large Navy acquisition organization while furthering your process improvement and project management skills.

What You'll Work On:

  • Participate in activities required to establish new business processes and facilitates the integration of new technologies into existing workflows.
  • Facilitate discussions to elicit, document, and validate business rules while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Apply functional expertise and general industry knowledge to address business needs.
  • Develop or contribute to solutions for a range of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Partnering with technology experts to design and document digital transformation strategies and support smooth implementation.
  • Collaborating with UI/UX and graphic design teams to gather requirements and produce high‑quality deliverables, including presentations, PDFs, and software enhancements.
  • Elicit functional requirements to support development of business processes through interviews, research, and assessment activities.
  • Translate business needs, processes, and procedures into system requirements and communicate these effectively to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Develop documents and planning for digital solutions, system specifications, project and test plans, according to established standards and methodologies.
  • Navigate solutions through the full software development lifecycle, with strong familiarity in SDLC processes.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and technical staff to deliver project outcomes, perform risk analysis and ensure completion of required deliverables
  • Work independently with some guidance.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience supporting DoD or commercial leaders
  • Experience with SharePoint, Power Automate, Forms, Planner, and Microsoft 365 solutions
  • Knowledge of process mapping and improvement, including developing process guides and process flows
  • Knowledge of the Power Platform ecosystem
  • Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate with clients in both virtual and in-person environments
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience supporting Navy clients
  • Ability to take initiative and think creatively
  • Possession of excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, including conducting research and evaluating options
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Agile certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
