Customer Service Technician

Location: Richmond, VA
Pay Rate: $18.75–$26.44/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Duration: 11 months

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Onsite Service Technician to provide equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support. This position requires strong electro-mechanical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently at customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment.
• Respond to service calls and resolve issues within required service levels.
• Use electrical and mechanical knowledge to diagnose equipment problems.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventories.
• Keep customers informed about equipment status and availability.
• Provide excellent customer service and serve as the primary onsite contact.
• Complete service calls independently and accurately.
• Provide basic equipment training to customers as needed.
• Follow all required safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Electro-mechanical troubleshooting or repair experience.
• Experience using a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Related experience may include HVAC, cable/internet technician, electrician, automotive mechanic, equipment repair, or military technical experience.
• Strong time management and reliability.
• Valid driver's license, appropriate auto insurance, and clean driving history.
• Ability to work independently and meet service deadlines.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk, stand, squat, and bend throughout the workday.
• Ability to drive for more than 50% of the workday.
