CYBER SECURITY ANALYST

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

HIRING RATE: $41.59-$46.21/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Minimum of 40 hours/week

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for monitoring County networks for security breaches, investigating security incidents, implementing measures to secure systems and developing and enforcing policies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Associate degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field or four (4) years equivalent work experience, with minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in cybersecurity
• Possession of and/or ability to obtain and maintain at least one cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+ certifications required
• Provides security awareness training to employees to educate about security threats and best practices
• Thorough knowledge of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Working knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST and regularity compliance such as GDPR and HIPAA
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen
