SYSTEMS ENGINEER

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

HIRING RANGE: $3808.05/bi-weekly based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday-Friday, minimum 40 hour work week, exempt

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing and maintaining 24/7 network infrastructures, ensuring maintenance and patching of servers, and conducting testing of systems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field or eight (8) years of equivalent related work experience; minimum five (5) years as a Jr. Systems Engineer
• Thorough knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, RDS, familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and Private Cloud, experience with database management such as MySQL, SQL Server, proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, and knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and CISCO
• Possession of and ability to maintain at least one certification such as Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Systems Engineer or other certification as approved by Director of IT, required
• Excellent organizational, communication skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures and practices
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen
