The Firm

Paradigm is a San Francisco-based investment firm focused on frontier technologies across the globe, with over $11 billion in assets under management. We make investments in companies and protocols at all stages, ranging from early-stage venture financing rounds to growth equity to liquid assets.

Paradigm was founded in 2018 and is co-led by managing partners Matt Huang and Alana Palmedo. We’ve been hard at work investigating the world’s most beautiful technical problems since day one. Our research-driven approach helps us build relationships with founders and entrepreneurs, but it also reflects our broader goal of accelerating the progress of frontier technology.

The Role

We’re looking for an executive assistant to support a mix of externally-facing leaders at Paradigm. This person would be responsible for providing day-to-day EA support to several executives and their extended teams. We’d expect someone in this role to display a high degree of professionalism and the ability to exercise good judgment in high-leverage interactions with founders, investors, and political figures.

This person would join our high-performing admin team, which today serves as the air traffic control group that helps Paradigm succeed, in addition to being guardians of Paradigm’s team culture. The admin team reports up through Katie Biber, Paradigm’s COO.

Paradigm is a hybrid firm, with employees coming in to our office in the Transamerica Pyramid Monday-Wednesday.

Responsibilities

• Being the gatekeeper for executives at Paradigm and the first communication stop for internal and external guests
• Performing an extensive array of core administrative tasks (e.g. preparing meeting materials, chasing down signatures, and handling expenses)
• Strategic and proactive management of complex and varying day-to-day schedules using Google Calendar
• Ownership of ad hoc special projects like offsite events
• Understanding a suite of firm-internal AI tools, and developing your own tools where appropriate
• Travel coordination - air, ground, hotel and all accommodations
• Working cohesively with the rest of the admin team

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience -- ideally direct executive admin support with experience supporting multiple leaders
• Excellent written and oral communication; diplomatic and professional demeanor at all times
• Fluent in Google office platforms
