Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Finance and Cost Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the financial and cost accounting activities for our operations in Elkmont, Alabama. The role involves managing the annual budget, preparing analytical reports, and ensuring compliance with local accounting and tax obligations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, cost accounting, and inventory management, along with proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of the annual budget and prepare analytical reports according to group standards.
• Manage inventory values and maintain the ERP costs database.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax obligations in accordance with local laws.
• Coordinate with corporate management for financial matters and manage cash flow according to corporate policies.
• Supervise the Finance department and team, making decisions on finance and costing issues with input from management.
• Provide documents for corporate consolidation and participate in customer audits.
• Conduct reports independently and provide timely warnings of financial situation evolution.
• Adhere to company safety policies and strive to achieve quality, safety, and environmental objectives.
• Interface with management, direct reports, and all levels of personnel within the organization, and with external customer and supplier representatives.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems and International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, consolidations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with P&L analysis, month-end closing, cycle counts, and internal controls.
• A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required; a master's degree and CPA/CMA are preferred.
• Five to seven years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company.
• Experience working in an international group or corporation.
• Strong computer system and accounting software skills.
• Fluent in business English; bilingual in French/English is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and meeting facilitation skills.
• Additional training in supervision, coaching, and employee motivation.
• CPA and/or CMA certifications.
• Conversational French.
• Continuing education in accounting or business management.

Work Environment

Located in Elkmont, Alabama, our facility serves as the North American headquarters, providing a comprehensive range of services including R&D, manufacturing support, and marketing. We specialize in the design and manufacture of sensors, activators, and actuators for the automotive industry. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Elkmont, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

BCBS , 5 weeks PTO Day one 8% bonus 1/2 based on operation income and 1/2 based om personal goals for the year set by PM
