      As a business account manager, you have a considerable impact on the organization by helping promote services and maintain business relationships with members and clients. You represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into strategic agreements with clients. You balance portfolio profitability with client/partner satisfaction. You maintain personal business relationships with strategic and important clients—primarily businesses, associations and groups—to ensure they are getting the most of their products and services and are fully satisfied with them. You drive results by actively helping your unit achieve its sales and business development objectives. You are responsible for prestige accounts with significant development potential for your sector or the organization. You work with clients with highly complex, diverse needs. The ability to communicate effectively and thoroughly understand clients’ expressed needs is therefore essential. Your highly complex work and initiatives require extensive knowledge of the organization and your line of business. You lead, influence and serve as expert advisor to clients and practitioners. You have considerable leeway and many opportunities to establish and negotiate product and service terms. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to :

      • Maintain lasting, personal business relationships with important clients to promote services

      • Manage accounts by serving as the link between clients and the organization and ensuring that clients have the products and services they need, are using them correctly, and are satisfied with them

      • Recommend strategies and solutions to meet targets, such as sound risk management, portfolio profitability and improved business relationships

      • Identify and analyze member/client needs; develop custom solutions; prepare integrated service offers that balance member/client satisfaction, profitability and risk; and negotiate terms

      • Watch for business opportunities that would add a competitive edge to existing products and services

      • Take an active role in public relations activities and maintain a presence in the business community

      What you bring to the table

      • Bachelor's degree in a related field

      • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience

      • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

      • Knowledge of French is required
