The DS Smith Sales team are a dynamic and vibrant mix of professionals who focus on delivering the Sales strategy, goals and performance whilst working to delight our customers by showcasing our sustainable and innovative packaging solutions. From our energetic Business Development Team who create opportunities, to our incredible Account Managers who build & strengthen relationships with Global Brands, the Sales team are the face of our business and our biggest ambassadors!
We have a fabulous opportunity for a pro-active and driven individual to join as an Account Manager for the UK Packaging – Southern Division. This would be a perfect opportunity for an ambitious, customer focused individual to come and be part of this amazing team!
Working with a wide range of internal stakeholders and customers, you will use your skill and experience to lead, develop, win, and maintain business from the FMCG and industrial sectors, in line with our growth strategy. This is a customer facing role and therefore suit someone who strives for customer satisfaction, loyalty and delivering a customer experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations.
As a strong sales professional, you will manage the account plan, building a strategy for growth and margin improvement within existing customers whilst monitoring progress against agreed plans and devise alternative solutions as required. This role will work closely with the Design and Innovation team translating our customer needs into solution led offers to drive new sales and communicating customer forecasts to the business using our CRM system. You will also be expected to work with the wider Sales team and Site teams to ensure we are maximising opportunities within the market, whilst driving efficiencies and a culture of innovation and Sustainability.
This role is home-based but there is a strong focus on travelling to meet customers and teams at our sites – which can cover the South of England & Midlands areas.
