      Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

      Support the (Senior) Director Sales in ensuring profitable and sustainable market share and sales growth in the respective defined customer group, taking into consideration brand image in the key categories as well as the defined target group.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • To drive a credible dialogue with select Specialist accounts and deliver a high level of service.
      • Knowledge and application of adidas strategy within the assigned customers and categories.
      • Build professional and personal relationships with key decision makers and buyers of assigned customers as a prerequisite for adidas to become the 'preferred supplier'
      • Support and, if required, internally represent assigned customers as 'ambassador' to all functions and vice versa, and assist in interface management
      • Gain understanding of assigned customers and categories and document this in account fact books
      • Support supervisor in developing account strategies, formalizing them in strategic account plans and support approval by (Senior) Director Sales
      • Support sell-in and understanding to sell-out support. Formalization in account marketing plans together with the supervisor.
      • Continuously monitor sell-out and backlog to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply to the customer. Identify and capture sales opportunities for the customer.
      • Supporting the negotiation and enforcement of adidas terms and conditions of trade.
      • Leverage market insights - in terms of knowledge of the competitive landscape and trends in relevant channels - to influence buying decisions leading to adidas sales
      • Proactively support the development and execution of creative grassroots activities with customers to improve brand image as well as drive demand with customers (generating sales growth)
      • Assist in the development and execution of strategies to advance the client's digital capabilities as an omnichannel player in the wholesale digital marketplace
      • Support the superior in terms of sales target planning, potential analysis, increase of sell through and healthy increase of market share
      • Number and data based work through targeted use as well as knowledge of customer specific sell-out, sell-in figures and digital KPI's

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

      • Very good commercial knowledge
      • Knowledge of the Running Specialist retail landscape in the Nordics
      • Good knowledge in what Running products & brand exist and perform in the Nordic market
      • Negotiation and (re)presentation skills and confident manner
      • Very good influencing and communication skills
      • Strong team player with the proven ability to work cross-functionally in order to achieve objectives and targets
      • Ability to influence business partners in other functional areas to build consensus and understanding
      • Understanding of retail sales practices and ability to create practical and logical assortment plans based on selling space, inventory turns and sell through.
      • Mental flexibility, initiative and determination
      • Fluency in English and local language (written and spoken) mandatory; additional languages are an advantage
      • Advanced knowledge of MS Office package, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
      • Digital mindset and good knowledge of digital media
      • Willingness to travel

      Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

      • University degree in business administration or sports economics
      • 3-5 years’ sales experience
      • Industry experience: sports apparel/footwear/accessories, fashion or FMCG
      • Exposure: sales, sporting goods, product marketing, account marketing
      • Passion for running category.
