What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Distribute monthly reports to various divisions within the Public Transit Department
- Provide backup support for sections of the Management Services Division
- Assist with administrative financial report preparation for the Fiscal Section
- Process travel requests in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Prepare records/documents for retention in compliance with the City's record retention policy
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in public or business administration or a related field
- Three years of professional experience in public administration or governmental research or finance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to improve administrative processes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with hosting virtual meetings
- Familiarity with SAP and SRM systems
- Experience managing administrative projects
- Background in providing customer service to internal and external customers
- Experience working for a large governmental agency providing high-level administrative support
