      Job Duties: Position is located in the Student Services Division and will provide support services to the Testing Center. Primary duties and responsibilities will include: provide excellent customer service at the front desk for instructional testing candidates. Respond to emails and answer phones for the department. Answer questions for students and other candidates testing in the testing center. Schedule testing appointments for students. Assist with processing score report and transcripts for testing exemptions.

      Ensure instructional exams are entered into RegisterBlast and all exam materials are ready for delivery. Provide exam instructions and monitor exams via cameras, NetSupport, and visual observance to ensure exam integrity is maintained per Instructions given by faculty. Provide secondary support for third-party exams. Create vouchers for Accuplacer and maintain log sheets for this exam in absence of Admin III. Maintain all third-party vendor certifications. Assist DAS Coordinator in the management of accommodation letters.

      Utilize NetSupport, Servers, and Cache Proxies, Web-Cams and signature pads for testing. Set up computers for each exam and troubleshoot IT issues related to computerized testing. Give test instructions with knowledge of higher education testing procedures, secure all exams and proctor tests as needed. Multitask in a very busy environment. In performing daily duties, the position will utilize a variety of different software for testing to include Microsoft Office 365 programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher.

      Minimum Qualifications: Twenty-four months (24) of clerical experience as the primary function of the job. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook is required. In order to be considered for this position, your clerical experience and experience using the Microsoft Office programs listed above must be documented on your application. Daily interaction with students, faculty and staff require that this position have strong interpersonal and organizational skills due to multiple assignments and fluctuating priorities. Candidate must have experience providing customer service and interfacing with a variety of people from many levels within the organization. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this position. Do not use "see resume" statements on application. Your application must be completed in its entirety.       Substitutions: College, university, or non-correspondence business school course work from an accredited institution in Business or similar field may substitute for the general clerical experience as listed above on a year for year basis. However, there is no substitution for the experience using the Microsoft Office programs listed above. A copy of your transcripts verifying the required credits must be received by application deadline in order to be considered.


      Preferred Qualifications: Please provide a detailed description on your application of your relevant work experience and document examples of your work in relation to the following: Experience involving a wide range of clerical responsibilities. Excellent computer skills. Experience with higher education testing procedures. Experience working with a student information system such as Banner or similar system. Ability to troubleshoot basic computer problems. Prior experience entering information into a database and keyboarding proficiency. Excellent organizational and written communication skills. Ability to deal with a diverse population with discretion and tact. Attention to detail (ability to check for typographical, grammatical and spelling errors, etc.)


      Necessary Special Requirements: Must submit to and successfully complete a pre-employment background check as a condition of hire. Compensatory time at time-and-one-half on all eligible hours will be granted in lieu of paying overtime.
