Degree or diploma in business administration, public administration, economics, social sciences, or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis.

Experience in policy, program or project management related to economic development initiatives.

Experience providing advice and making recommendations to senior officials.
-
Experience writing and editing materials including briefing notes, Cabinet and Treasury Board submissions, legislative documents, discussion papers, fact sheets, correspondence, flow charts or related experience in writing, briefing and advising Management or Senior Officials.

Have experience working for/with an Indigenous economic development organization or First Nations government.

Self-identify as Indigenous.

The Regional and Indigenous Economic Policy Branch supports Indigenous, rural and regional inclusion in the economy by supporting the implementation of the StrongerBC Economic Plan and upholding the Province’s commitment to reconciliation in the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act and the StrongerBC Economic Plan.
In this role, the Economic Development Analyst will conduct research, analysis, program and policy design and implement a range of projects and initiatives in support of Indigenous economic development.

Two (2) positions available, one full-time permanent and one temporary assignment until 10/31/2024 that may become permanent.
