What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the Appeals/Grievances Department with clerical and administrative tasks
- Maintain an advanced understanding of Medi-Share program guidelines and appeals processing functions
- Acquire medical records for appeals from providers
- Communicate with members about the appeals process and provide support
- Document medical correspondence received from members and providers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of experience preferred in Medical Administration/Medical Records
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to organize and prioritize daily workload
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree preferred
- Experience with document imaging systems
- Familiarity with database systems and ability to update fields
