      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide legal advice and client assistance to the Washington State Investment Board and related retirement boards
      - Draft and negotiate complex investment contracts for private market investments
      - Review and amend contracts and provide litigation recommendations
      - Conduct thorough legal research and produce high-quality written memoranda
      - Maintain strong client relationships and offer strategic advice to executive leadership

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must be a licensed attorney in Washington State or actively pursuing admission
      - Minimum of three years of experience as a transactional attorney with investments, or one year as an attorney plus three years in finance/investments
      - Strong analytical, research, and writing skills with the ability to manage time-sensitive assignments
      - Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively while developing client relationships
      - Commitment to public service and demonstrated ethics, diversity, and inclusion

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Significant experience drafting and negotiating investment contracts and custodial contracts
      - Expertise in private market investments and familiarity with securities laws
      - Experience with federal tax law and domestic/foreign securities litigation
      - Knowledge of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulatory frameworks
      - Experience reviewing proposed legislation and understanding state law issues
