      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Research and analyze legislative and policy developments at state and federal levels
      - Compose, review, and provide feedback on legal documents related to assigned policy issues
      - Maintain communication with the City Attorney on significant policy developments
      - Facilitate outreach opportunities with diverse stakeholders and community organizations
      - Identify and recommend cases for investigation that align with the City Attorney's goals

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Membership in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association or licensure in another state, with the ability to obtain membership within 2 months of employment
      - Expertise in municipal or government-related law and public interest topics
      - Demonstrated effective and independent litigation skills
      - Proficiency in legal research, writing, and communication
      - Ability to manage complex assignments independently while multitasking

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience liaising with community organizations
      - Comfort with novel legal issues and emerging areas of law
      - Demonstrated ability to complete a wide variety of tasks simultaneously
