What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and ensure compliance with education laws, regulations, and company policies for public schools managed by the employer
- Advise school administration on legal, scholastic, and business issues to develop effective strategies
- Draft and negotiate management contracts, sales contracts, and vendor agreements
- Interpret applicable laws and regulations, providing legal counsel to internal teams
- Manage outside legal counsel for specialized legal issues and provide dispute management support
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Juris Doctor degree
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in education, corporate, and contract law
- Active State Bar License
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with administrative or securities law
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web applications
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal, leadership, negotiating, and consulting abilities
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
