      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Oversee strategy and operations for university-wide staff compensation, executive compensation, and benefits
      - Manage ongoing total rewards operations and lead the evolution of the compensation function
      - Design and implement market-based compensation and benefits programs aligned with university values
      - Build and manage relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the university
      - Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing compensation and benefits programs

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience
      - Proven experience managing a team of compensation and benefits specialists
      - Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing compensation and benefits
      - Strong relationship-building skills in a matrixed environment
      - Demonstrated excellence in leveraging Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Certifications such as CEBS, ISCEBS, PHR/SPHR, or CCP/CBP
      - Experience working in the Human Resources function in large, complex organizations
      - Subject matter knowledge of best practices in compensation and benefits philosophy
      - Background in implementing HRIS compensation modules
      - Expertise in pay transparency laws and regulations
