This position can be located in Peoria, IL, Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX.
This position requires up to 10% of working time travel (domestic only).
Client Relationship Ownership: Establishment and maintenance of strong relationships, business unit partners, and extended agency and Enterprise teams.
Affirmation of trust with clients through consistent communication and value-added engagements, connecting dots for the clients across the enterprise, and searching for ways to build value for the relationship.
Management of client relationships in a solution-oriented way, knowing how to navigate interpersonal differences and utilizing escalation when needed.
Strategic Thinking: Communication of business unit objectives and strategies to agency team members and establishment of accountability for the role that everyone has in helping the client achieve their goals through Ironworks.
Creation of creative briefs aligning to client’s business objectives, utilizing industry data, past campaign performance, and insights to jump start agency creativity.
Application of a data-first mindset to the creation of campaigns, from utilizing data to inform the brief to how to measure campaign effectiveness.
Marketing Campaign Delivery Ability to develop scopes of work and budgets that clearly articulate agency commitments to clients and client accountability to agency.
Strong organization and communication skills to effectively lead the ideation, development, execution, and measurement of projects, working in partnership with agency team members to deliver the best, and most effective work for clients.
Fostering trust and collaboration within agency work groups, serving as a coach and partner
Adaptability: Ability to traverse tactical and strategic conversations throughout the same day without jeopardizing strong communication to clients and agency partners.
Navigation of complex projects and tight timelines effectively, while managing expectations with clients and agency partners.
Steadfast focus and resilience during times of change and high agency activity.
A two year degree (Associates) from an accredited college or university OR equivalent work related experience
Experience managing multiple clients and competing priorities
Experience in marketing agency scope and budget development
Experience working in a digital-first agency, actively leading integrated marketing campaigns
Experience in client relationship leadership
Broad range of experiences in the development and execution of marketing communications strategies with examples in sales material development, digital strategy development, product launches, and messaging platform development
Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset, experience in accountability for fostering organic growth within a portfolio of clients
Ability to excite and inspire clients and agency partners to create new ideas and solutions, knows how to navigate competing ideas to arrive at a solution that addresses the client’s business needs
Ability to lead and manage multiple projects and priorities without jeopardizing work quality, communication, or collaboration
Critical thinking to drive data-driven solutions, ability to drive insights through questions and facilitating client conversations
Strong emotional intelligence and ability to lead with influence down, across, and up throughout the organization
Strong capacity for empathy to deliver impactful insights to drive creativity and foster strong relationships
Establishes work ethic expectations through leading by example, ability to hold the client and supporting team members accountable for meeting expectations and executing with excellence

Job Summary:
Associate Account Managers at Caterpillar’s in-house marketing and services agency, Ironworks, are driven, collaborative individuals who get excited about helping our Enterprise clients do their best work. They are the day-to-day contacts between our clients, agency departments, and other enterprise partners. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients, developing strategic integrated marketing campaigns, and aligning creative and media partners to get things done, with a data-first mindset that is focused on measurement and optimization. Associate Account Managers are curious, solution-oriented, and are always thinking about their clients’ business and how Ironworks can support
them achieve their goals. They are equal parts visionary and methodical, living in the world of possibilities while understanding how to develop a scope and plan to get the work done.
