- Assists senior account management personnel and staff in all general administrative duties supporting SWBC’s employee benefits clients
- Provides comprehensive open enrollment support for SWBC clients such as hosting and participating in on-site and virtual open enrollment meetings, coordinating and assisting in the creation of employee education materials, processing necessary documents and monitoring implementation processes
- Delivers “perfect service” for client plan participants through claims and customer service issue research and resolution
- Assist with employee and dependent plan eligibility
- Provides billing reconciliation and issue resolution as necessary
- Guides clients through the set up of various employee benefits technological solutions i.e. electronic enrollment platforms and payroll systems
- Researches and provides client guidance with benefits compliance issues
- Assist and collaborate with senior account managers and sales producers during new and renewal RFP processes to include preparing RFP materials to go to market and assisting with the gathering and analysis on carrier new proposal and renewal data
- Establishes and maintains various files and records pertaining to program participation to include participant status and enrollment eligibility and maintains and prepares requested benefits marketing materials including contract, benefits brochures, and forms.
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge on new laws, regulations rating systems, forms and coverage changes that impact health benefits programs by analyzing proposed changes and presenting recommendations for action.
- Compiles statistical data and reports pertaining to benefits programs and monitors carrier compliance with contract provisions and SWBC policies.
- Some college courses in business, insurance, or related fields are preferred.
- One to two (1-2) years employee benefits experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications.
- Good knowledge of insurance terms, coverage, and rating.
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Possess or obtain within ninety days of date of hire, a current Group 1 License.
- Able to travel to current and prospective customers and to attend continuing education classes and seminars.
- Able to lift 10-20 lbs. of files, manuals, or boxes.
- Able to stoop, kneel, and/or sit for long periods of time.

SWBC is looking for a talented individual to provide services and support to existing employee benefits customers and act as a back up to senior and executive level account management teams managing large group accounts. This person will assist in the coordination of all administrative aspects of employee benefits including but not limited to – open enrollment support, claims issue research and resolution, new and renewal case implementation and processing, billing reconciliations, eligibility management, compliance and new and renewal RFP processes and presentation support.
