What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer incoming calls from consumers regarding healthcare coverage and assist with inquiries
- Process new applications for health care coverage and handle demographic updates
- Track and document all inquiries using applicable systems
- Facilitate translation services for non-English speaking callers as needed
- Meet quality assurance and key performance metrics while adhering to confidentiality policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED required with 6+ months of relevant professional experience
- Fluency in English and Haitian Creole, including speaking, reading, and translation
- Residency within 100 miles of New York, NY is required
- Strong data entry and telephone skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service
- Familiarity with computers, phone systems, and headsets
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced work environment
