What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide expert direction for business process re-engineering in preparation for Workday system conversion
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify and develop unique processes for financial transactions
- Develop and monitor organizational change management plans to support agency readiness for the Workday transition
- Consult with the OneWA team to track overall progress and maintain deadline goals for system conversion
- Communicate and resolve system discrepancies in collaboration with staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Five years of professional level accounting-related experience
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, budgeting, business administration, or a related field may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, TEAMS, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex fiscal issues to various audiences
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with Workday (cloud-based enterprise resource planning system)
- Familiarity with developing, analyzing, and updating processes related to financial operations
- Understanding of State Financial Reporting System (AFRS) and accounting system workflows
- Project management experience and knowledge of organization change methods
- Ability to prepare, reconcile, and analyze financial reports and data
